Paul Bosky, El Guia, Certified Meditation Coach
Early on in his college career, Paul was fascinated by algorithms and Turing machines, so he decided to major in Computer Science.
After graduating, he worked for a high-tech marketing company that moved him to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he experienced the joys and challenges of the Silicon Valley lifestyle. Across twenty years and a dozen jobs, Paul worked as a Technical Support Engineer, Technical Trainer, Curriculum Developer, and Instructional Designer for many of the best-known technology companies.
In 2016, Paul reached a transition. He realized that his true passion was in helping people to find their way on their journeys. While this was something his friends and family always counted on him for, Paul never imagined it as a career path. In this time of transition, Paul decided that he would pursue his deepest desires to help people, and the way to do so was by supporting them with the tool that helped him through many dark times and sleepless nights: meditation.
Paul was certified as a Vedic Meditation teacher in 2017 and launched El Guia Meditation in 2018. After teaching over 100 people to meditate in the ancient Vedic system that he had practiced himself for more than a decade, Paul realized that he could better serve his clients by broadening his approach and offering more modalities. In 2019 he completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher training program and integrated the evidence-based approach and techniques into his client work. Also, in 2019, El Guia Meditation was selected for a Best of Oakland Award in the category of Meditation Class.
Paul lives in Oakland with his wife, Alix. He joyfully helps each client access fulfillment with dedicated attention and support. When he is not teaching meditation, you might find Paul deepening his practice, hiking in the East Bay hills, listening to live music, practicing guitar, enjoying a meal with friends, or planning a trip to destinations near and far.
